NORTH CENTRAL SERVICE AWARDS Holds February 2018

The organizers of the North Central service Awards said the first of the Award will hold in Abuja by the first quarter of next year.

According the Project Coordinator for the event, Mr Cletus Akhimien, the North Central service Awards was set up to honor individuals, group and institutions whose outstanding selfless service and contributions are helping to change the sociology-economic landscape of North Central state and Nigeria.

Akhimien said "This Award recognizes  patriotic individuals or companies who have served and  improved the lives of the less privileged in the North-Central and also contributed immensely towards community development within the North-Central Region and Nigeria at large.

He further explained that the award process includes nomination and thorough screening of nominees
"State Governor, Legislators, Council Chairmen, industrialist and political leaders in the North-Central States who have done well in leadership and good governance will be honored

Akhimien said submission of nomination begins 15th December- 28th December. 2017. while Voting starts 31th Dec. 2017- 31th January 2018.

Panel of judges shall be selected from across the North Central state to screen nominees.

He however said that following consideration must be followed while the nomination for the Awards :

1. Why is my nominee unique? .

2. What are his /her major achievements?

3. What is the extend of the nominee's impact in his/her immediate community or state and beyond?

4. Has he/she made any huge sacrifice to accomplish these achievements?

A reporter with Abia Fact Newspaper has just confirmed that Joy Akabuike is alive. She has regained consciousness days after the ghastly accident.

All the passengers (except her) were confirmed dead following an accident involving a commercial bus belonging to Peace Mass Transit and a truck last Sunday May 22nd in Umuahia, Abia State.

A woman in Onicha Uboma Autonomous Community in the Ihitte/Uboma Local Government Area, Imo State, identified only as Ifeoma allegedly killed her one-year-old child, gouged out her eyes and drank her blood.

According to Daily Independent, the 39-year-old woman was alleged to have committed the heinous act inside her husband’s shop. Mr. Azubuike Emedom returned from a business trip to find his wife and child missing.

Married Police Sergeant dies in Lagos hotel

A married Police Sergeant identified as Jude Nwadudu died in a hotel located at Iju, in Lagos on Sunday March 27th. According to The Nation, Nwadudu who is married with four children, had gone to the hotel with the unidentified lady for a ‘good time’. After spending some time with the lady, he decided to take a shower. He entered the bathroom and slipped. He fell on the floor, hit his head on the wall and became unconscious.

Man killed in Lagos over urine confrontation

An unidentified middle-aged man was reportedly killed, after he saw a man, named Friday Momoh urinating beside a parked truck at Berger Suya area of Lagos State, yesterday. The victim had reportedly previously warned Momoh not to urinate at that location due to the stench emanating from there.

Unfortunately, the confrontation turned into a fight that involved 3 other people who got injured. During the fight,  Friday stabbed the victim with a broken bottle which led to his death.
